Premium Hand-Crafted Plantain Chips

Gonja is the Luganda word for the sweet plantains native to Uganda. The flavor is bold, sweet, and stands out from other plantains we've tasted. The fruit is meticulously sliced, dried, drizzled in oil and spices, and roasted in small batches.

The result: a unique snacking experience, that's almost like a cross between a cracker and dried fruit. Amazi's natural, hand-crafted plantain chips that are both delicious and nutritious, and unlike other plantain chips on the market.

Jackfruit Chews

If you're up on your food trends, you know that Jackfruit has been having its moment recently. And for good reason! Ffene - as jackfruit is called in Luganda - tastes like a cross between apple, banana, mango, and pineapple. Funnily enough, this massive fruit is a part of the mulberry family.

When fresh, this strange tropical fruit has a sticky, meaty texture that makes for a finger-licking eating experience, but when dried the strange texture is tamed and only the bold, sweet flavor remains. Rich in fiber, antioxidants, and B-Complex vitamins, jackfruit helps boost energy levels and support nutrient absorption. When we add powerhouse spices and flavors like ginger, turmeric, lime, and chili to make our Jackfruit Chews, this super fruit is taken to the next level.

Papaya Strips

You've never tried papaya like this before... Made only with spices and organically grown papaya, Amazi Papaya Strips are like a plant-based jerky or all-natural fruit leather. Unlike other dried papaya options on the market, we don’t use any emulsifiers, added sugars, or colors. We simply dehydrate this heavily water-containing fruit, which results in a texture that is tough and chewy, highlighting the subtle sweetness.

Papaya is a natural healer - rich in antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and containing anti-inflammatory properties that improve digestion and serve as a natural remedy for IBS. Papaya is often seen in several skincare products, as well, as it is known for supporting healthy, glowing skin - and some even claim it reduces visible signs of aging.
