We're closing out the work week with another #StoreFeatureFriday. This week, we are highlighting Import News! Import News a globally focused print and snack shop. They carry independent publications from communities and individual creatives around the world, plus fun and intriguing stuff to eat. Here's @i.m.p.o.r.t!

WHERE?
New York, New York and Los Angeles, CA

WHO'S BEHIND THE SCENES?
Sasha Laing and Ken Miller, Owners

WHAT IS YOUR TEAM MISSION?

Import News tries to capture some of the spirit of traveling. When you're away from home, you're more willing to explore and try new things. We wanted to create that spirit in a low-key, comfortable space that's also a resource for our local communities.

WHY DO YOU CARRY AMAZI?
We carry Amazi because it's really tasty! It's also hard to find healthy snacks, so it's a really exciting to be able to offer plantain chips that aren't fried and yummy jackfruit chews.

If you're in the NY or LA area, make sure to stop by Import News for some good reads and snacks, and Amazi of course!
Roses are red, violets are blue, chocolate is our love language, so we're sharing a special sale with you 💕

Setting the mood this romantic evening with a sweet little nightcap - tonight through SUNDAY February 17th 11:59PM EST, you can order our Cocoa Plantain Chips at 20% off using the code TRULOVE19 (this applies to single packs, 3-packs, 6-packs, AND Bulk Bags - perfect for baking). Pssst... don't forget - you can find this amazing recipe by @spinachdaddy and many more on our blog! We post at least one every week under the "Tasty Tips" tab. Check it out and whip up a little somethin' somethin' ;)
We're back with another #WellnessWednesday post, and with it falling on #GalentinesDay, we knew we had to cultivate a little extra LOOOOOVE. What better way to spread that love than with our gal Hallie of @spinachdaddy, sharing some of her thoughts on how she shows love: "One of my love languages is giving small gifts of appreciation to those I care about, which is why I love this day! It’s an excuse for my friends and I to get together and celebrate one another & gather for a festive brunch." AND she created this DECADENT recipe for us using our cocoa plantain chips, so she must REALLY love us...
*** Chunky Monkey Valentine’s Day Blondies💗

Ingredients:
-15 oz can of unsalted chickpeas
-1/3 cup of maple syrup
-1/2 cup of smooth almond butter
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1/2 tsp baking powder
-1/2 tsp baking soda
-pinch of salt
-1 bag of Amäzi Cocoa plantain chips -1/3 cup chocolate chips
-1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1) Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
2) Rinse and drain your chickpeas, pat dry.
3) Pulse 2/3 of the cocoa plantain chips in a processor till chips become very small- almost the size of rolled oats, set aside.
4) In a food processor, combine the first 7 ingredients till a smooth batter is formed.
5) Stir your chocolate chips, pulsed cocoa chips, and walnuts into the batter.
6) on a small, lined cookie sheet (or a 9x9 sq pan for thicker bars!) pour batter and spread into an even layer, about 1/2 inch thick.
7) top with remaining whole cocoa chips, additional chocolate + nuts and flaky salt if so desired
8) bake blondies for 20-23 min until it passes the clean toothpick test! Let cool completely
9) optional, but super festive💗: using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out your blondies and gift to all your valentines! (And snack on the remaining odd and ends yourself) 😛
This #TribeTuesday we're sharing a very exciting #BTS update. Our founder @renee.a.dunn was recently accepted to the renowned @seedspot Impact Accelerator Program, representing Amazi as a part of the Spring 2019 Cohort and 8-week intensive.
Last week, the program kicked off with the opportunity to pitch in front of hundreds at the @boozallen DC Innovation Center. With such a strong start under our belt already, we're eager to see how @seedspot will support our company’s growth and mission through their impact-driven curriculum, mentorship, venture nights - all culminating in a big Demo Day investment pitch.

We're so grateful for the opportunity. Are you as excited as we are to see how Amazi will grow in the coming months?! Stay tuned... big things are sure to come ✨
#MAKINGMOVESMONDAY 🤸‍♂️🙌 We are super excited to announce that we have partnered with the newly launched @westockapp! WeStock lets you discover new products based on your preferences and gives you - THE CUSTOMER - a voice to pick the products you want to see at your local stores. Download @westock today in the App Store, and be sure to request Amazi Foods so that we can pop up in stores near you. The more requests we get, the more we'll continue to grow into your region, creating opportunities for discovery and connection across the country🤩 Bottom line: WE COMIN' FOR YA!
“I was so excited when I found Amazi a few days before Christmas. I ordered immediately, not expecting it to arrive until after Christmas Day. It arrived on Christmas Eve and I was so excited to be able to surprise my daughter with them in her stocking the next morning! She is the sickest and the most food-restricted in the family, so it was awesome that she had Christmas treats, too! Thank you for all that you do to source and create AIP friendly snacks for my family to enjoy.” - Kimberly S., Nashville, TN

Our intentionality doesn’t stop at the source. We craft healthy snacks intended for all to enjoy - always mindful of allergies and restrictions. Read more reviews like this and see for yourself on @amazon Prime #linkinbio 📸 from @bonappetitmag
Kick off your weekend at Dean and Deluca Georgetown! Come swing by for specialty foods, including prepared dishes, home & kitchen items, and of course our delicious plantain chips. We'll be out there from 11-2pm!🤩
